A superb exhibition of Japanese ceramics was shown in Hamilton and Wellington. Unfortunately it was not possible to extend the itinerary to include Christchurch. However, a visiting lecturer, Mr Kenji Kato, was organised to give some lectures and to demonstrate his pottery skills. One talk and demonstration was of more advanced technical aspects designed for practising potters and the other for the general public.
