Enjoy a relaxed bus trip with fellow Friends to visit sculptor Hannah Kidd in her Methven workshop and to explore the historic Homebush Stables near Darfield.
Enjoy lunch at the Swingletree Café at Homebush Stables and the opportunity to explore the beautiful spring gardens, the historic country-life museum (including Bob Deans' 1905 Originals All Blacks memorabilia) and the quality knitwear and craft shop.
View the exterior of the new Ian Athfield-designed Deans' family homestead. Louise Deans will talk about the devastation of losing the original home in the Canterbury 2010 earthquake and the planning involved in creating a new history for the family.
