Janet Abbott opens a window on the teaching of the Junior School of the Canterbury College School of Art (now Ilam) in 1939, including discussion of Louise Henderson's contribution as an embroidery teacher.
The talk will cover everything from Arts and Crafts metalwork to wallpaper designs and lettering, as well as some show-and-tell with Wendy Dunbar’s original embroidery and portfolio from 1939.
