Exhibition History
"Renowned for her beauty, St. Rosa went to great lengths to disfigure herself to repel suitors and guard against sensual pride. She rubbed pepper on her face, lime onto her hands, wore a hairshirt, nettles in her gloves and a crown of roses."
From the exhibition 'Saintly Behaviour' at CoCA, 2001.
