Sticky Fingers
Behind the scenes
Take some paper squares, some glue, and sparkly bits, add a child and see the creativity flow.
Yesterday was day one of the Mosaic Magic holiday programme for children and we saw nimble little fingers carefully applying the mosaic squares to pictures they had drawn themselves. We had templates for some of the littlies to help them along. I was amazed at the intense concentration and attention to detail the kids showed. That is, until 10 minutes before the end, when in a fit of giggles, they started to apply the sticky mosaics on each other. There's nothing like experimental art!
Book online or drop into the WEA opposite the Art Gallery on Gloucester St any Tuesday, Thursday or Friday for the next two weeks between 10 and 11.30am if you'd like your kids to have some creative fun. $5 per child.
P.S. We promise to return your child glue-free.
