Rainbow Warrior
Behind the scenes
It's been great to see the majestic Rainbow Warrior out on Lyttelton Harbour over the past few days.

The new ship looked stunning out on the water with Banks Peninsula hills as the backdrop - a far cry from the awful images of the original Rainbow Warrior crippled at an Auckland wharf in 1985.
Seeing the new version Rainbow Warrior in port was a welcome change from all the container ships. And it reminded me just how glad I am that nuclear testing was ceased at Mururoa in 1996.
