Behind the scenes
Back in 1999, over ninety architects submitted designs for the Christchurch Art Gallery building.
With the look of the city centre uppermost in our minds at the moment, I thought it might be interesting to re-visit some of the entries. Here then are the ideas of four well known architects: Ian Athfield, Don Donnithorne, Warren and Mahoney, and Peter Beaven.
