In recognition of Malven County's Centennial celebrations, the Gallery mounted a small exhibition of works from the permanent collection of the Robert McDougall Art Gallery in the Malvern Hall. Most works exhibited reflected something of the Canterbury rural environment, which Malvern County forms such an important part of. Many of the artists were born in Canterbury and had a unique response through their work to the characteristics of the landscape of this region.
There were oil paintings, ceramics and sculpture and artists included Doris Lusk, Rita Angus and Bill Sutton.
