This exhibition was prepared by a group of supporters to raise funds for the Hohepa Home for Intellectually Handicapped Children in Christchurch.
It comprised paintings and weavings by major artists throughout the country. At the conclusion of the exhibition the works were auctioned. The artist received the proceeds from the sale less commission, which went to the Hohepa Home.
$4,000 was raised.
Participating artists included Colin McCahon, Ralph Hotere, Evelyn Page, Louise Henderson, Don Binney, Don Peebles and many more.
Weavers included Vivienne Mountford, Jenny Hunt, Judy Patience, and Helen van Schreven.
