Over one hundred lithographs, wood engravings and etchings were brought to New Zealand by the Czechoslovak Legation through the National Gallery of New Zealand. This exhibition was part of the 1962 Christchurch Festival.
Artists included were Cyril Bouda, Vojtech Sedlacek, Pavel Sukdolak, Julius Szabo, and Karol Svolinsky.
Works could be bought at the exhibition.
For this exhibition the Gallery was open on Wednesday and Saturday nights from 7:30 – 9:30 pm thanks to the opening of a new entrance on Rolleston Avenue.
The Director, W S Baverstock was interviewed by Molly McNab, radio personality from 3ZB at 2:40 pm on Thursday 22 March.
A popular talk was given by artist Leo Bensemann on 25 March.
