The Big Green Draw: Natural Pigment Paint
Workshop
Past event
Education Centre
From her home in Oxford, fine artist Celia Wilson captures the colours of Canterbury in way that could not be more down to earth. She creates paint using pigments she gathers from the local landscape, both as a craft process in its own right and also as a part of her own art practice.
Celia says "I investigated paint making as done by Europeans and New Zealand Māori before paint manufacturing became an industrialised process."
In this two hour workshop Celia will guide you in the process of making your own natural paint.
Free, but places limited to 18. Bookings essential.
Bring your own jar to take your paint home in.
