San Francisco based academic and cultural commentator Hou Hanru is the curator for the 2013 Auckland triennial. He has also curated three pavillions, two French and one Chinese, at the Venice Biennale amongst many other achievements.
His interests lie in the huge changes that curation has undergone and the many challenges it faces in the future, and he has written and spoken extensively about these concerns.
