Ian Milner (1911-1991) was a poet, critic, translator and academic. He was Professor of English at Charles University, Prague where he lived from 1951 until his death. His sympathies lay to the political left and he denied allegations of espionage. His memoirs were published as 'Intersecting lines', published by Victoria University Press in 1993.
