This print depicts a fresco by Guillaume de Marcillat in the loggia of Raphael. This loggia or colonnaded porch is on the second floor of the Apostolic Church in the Vatican. Its decoration was designed by Raphael (1483—1520) and executed by his workshop between 1517 and 1519.
