Ten years ago you could see The Allure of Light, French impressionist paintings from the National Gallery of Victoria

Twenty years ago it was White Camellias, a retrospective exhibition of work by women artists in Canterbury, held in association with the 1993 Suffrage Centennial Trust, Whakatu Wahine.

Thirty years ago, Richard Killeen's Chance and inevitability opened. Here members of the public were invited to attach metal cutouts anywhere and arrange them anyway they chose.

The editor of 'The Star', Mr G Burns opened the show and commended it as 'the expression of young, clean, healthy, wholesome minds.'
