Seung Yul Oh - Huggong

Seung Yul Oh - Huggong

A few days before the launch of our new outpost at 209 Tuam Street, the Gallery team headed down to install Huggong – an inflatable artwork by Auckland-based Seung Yul Oh. This unusual task required only the use of a leaf-blower, some gloves, and a lot of plumping and preening. Once inflated, the two balloons sat comically wedged between pillars, the floor, and the ceiling. Huggong, along with the video work Tabu can be viewed on the first floor of 209 Tuam Street (above C1 cafe and below the Physics Room) from 21 March until 24 April.
