This was the first selective and retrospective exhibition of Petrus van der Velden painting since 1913. It featured paintings from 1870-1912 and toured Christchurch, Wellington and Dunedin.
The exhibition included Dutch landscapes paintings, paintings of Otira and Mt Rolleston and also some of Sydney.
1545 visitors attended the exhibition which made a small profit form the 1 shilling admission charge.
