Victorian Reading Room
Don’t forget to visit the Victorian Reading Room under the marble stairs at Christchurch Art Gallery. Relax in this specially designed area, and enjoy reading about William Morris, his circle of friends and his company Morris & Co.
Morris & Co. is an Art Gallery of South Australia Travelling Exhibition.
The works in the exhibition are largely drawn from the comprehensive Morris and Co. collection held by the Art Gallery of South Australia, sourced in particular from Adelaide’s wealthy Barr Smith family, who extensively furnished seven large houses with Morris and Co. goods from 1884 to 1929.
