Christchurch artist Robin Neate's contribution to the Gallery's Stereoscope programme is drawn from his recent series of energised abstract paintings.

About this Exhibition
Paysage translates as rural scene, landscape or landscape painting and in these two works Neate interprets the landscape in a highly personal manner, transforming it into abstract fusions of overlaid colour and shape. His sensations of the landscape are brought together on canvas to create a work that is impulsive and colourful. Paysage is currently displayed on the Montreal Street bunker directly in front of the Gallery.
